In-ground recess box drawing

Built box outside dimensions:   28 ½" L x 12 ½" W x 5 ½" H.

Tools Required:

#2 Phillips or square bit driver; shovel, preferably flatnose, means to bury ¼" air supply line

Optional:  tape measure, level

Features:

Galvanized #8 x 1-3/4" flat head deck screws (8 ea.)

Pressure treated 1"x 6", painted black

Closed-cell foam dampening pad fastened with monel staples

Directions:

Arrange boards on a flat surface as shown above with the foam facing up and inward.

Securely fasten the boards as shown above with deck screws using a screwdriver. The deck screws should tighten until the 2 joining boards are tight together and the head of the deck screw is flush. Do not overtighten. The built box is 28 ½" L x 12 ½" W x 5 ½" H.

Dig a hole to accept the box. The top of the box should be level. Compensate for your golf mat thickness to determine the buried depth of the box because the hitting surface of the Golf Teeing Machine will be 1-½" above the wood. The hitting surface of the Golf Teeing Machine should be relatively even with your golf mat.

Place a couple inches of gravel inside the box, but no higher than 4" from the top. Pack sand on the outside and gravel on the inside and run water as required to firmly position the box.

Dig a narrow trench for the ¼" air supply line. Feed the air line through the access hole. Use ¼" polyurethane tubing inside the box to reduce line kink. Allow about 1 - 2’ of air line inside the box for the Golf Teeing Machine(s) to allow easy installation and removal.

Note:

The Moving Ball Machine, MA-100, air inlet is at the opposite end from the Stationary Ball Machine, SA-100, air inlet. Allow extra air line (3’ total) in the box if using both machines.
